Hey guys. Miss me?
You ever been clobbered with a traffic cone? Man it hurts. All in the name of shot composition eh?
We got our first brief yesterday...A one min silent short, about a guy who makes a cup of tea. 6 shots. We're only allowed to shoot two and a half minutes. Tight.
Anyway I was wondering if any of you have used Avid Express to edit...Like Final Cut or like totally different?

No I didn't miss you and yes I have been hit by and have hit traffic cones. The UK ones must be hard or somthing cuse I just roll right over the ones here, its those water filled barrels that are a pain.
Anyway, a suggestion to spice up your tea-making film. Shoot the actor with no clothes on. Don't star in this one Gen...

I haven't been hit with a traffic cone, but I have thumped someone else with one. Does this count?
If you're gonna follow Thousanth's suggestion, make sure it's cold tea!
How goes film school in general, Gen?

That's what I'm here for, Skin. I know nothing about filmmaking, I just go from forum to forum making people's lives a little bit better.
A blustery day? Cold Irish wind? heh soundslike the no clothes idea is coming together.
Also I can get your g/f 50% off eye-glasses.

Ahh, Thousanth what a warm human being you are. People like you are my inspiration.
I was thinking of setting the tea thing outside In blustry Irish weather...a visual "storm in a teacup" if you will.
Incidentally my girlf reckons I'm better looking than Jude Law. I think not, but if someone wants to put that on my gravestone, I won't complain!

Ahh Thousanth, the film vagabond, the forum nomad...
Any particular reason why I inspire you're wrath, or is it a more general thing?
Gwailofilms: Thanks for your interest...yeah Film school has been good. We watched a fantastic, amazingly weird french film the other day...City of Lost Children...and I'm looking forward to this tea thing, a first chance to work together with new people.
Oh and thousanth if you could hook me up with those glasses it would be great...

City of Lost Children is cool.
The same guy has a new flick out very soon, called "Amelie". The same weird FX & camerawork, but in a romance. Total Film are hailing it as movie of the year.
